Alpha (2018) is a prehistoric survival film set 20,000 years ago during the Ice Age. The story follows a young hunter named Keda, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee, who is separated from his tribe after a hunting expedition goes wrong. Severely injured and lost in the wilderness, Keda must find his way back home. Along the way, he forms an unlikely bond with a wild wolf, whom he names Alpha. Together, they must face the brutal challenges of nature, including harsh weather, wild animals, and predators.

The film explores themes of friendship, survival, and trust as Keda and Alpha learn to rely on one another for survival. Through their journey, Keda matures, learning to navigate the wilderness and overcome obstacles.
