Mubarakan (2017)

Summary:

Mubarakan (2017) is a Bollywood romantic comedy directed by Anees Bazmee, starring Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor (in a double role), Ileana D’Cruz, and Athiya Shetty. The film revolves around twin brothers, Karan and Charan (both played by Arjun Kapoor), who were separated at birth and raised in different countries—one in London and the other in Punjab. Despite their identical appearance, their personalities are vastly different—Karan is street-smart and modern, while Charan is simple and traditional.

Their lives take a chaotic turn when their well-meaning but eccentric uncle, Kartar Singh (Anil Kapoor), meddles in their love lives. Karan loves Sweety (Ileana D’Cruz), but his family wants him to marry Binkle (Neha Sharma), while Charan loves Nafisa (Athiya Shetty) but is set to marry Binkle. This leads to a hilarious series of misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and comedic twists as Kartar tries to fix everything, only to make things worse.

With its blend of family drama, romance, and slapstick humor, Mubarakan is an entertaining ride filled with lively performances, vibrant Punjabi culture, and energetic music. The film is a fun-filled entertainer that keeps audiences engaged with its humor and heartfelt moments.
